Module 1: 23-27 April 2018 (Certificate)
Module 2: 2-3 May 2019 (Diploma)
Our seven day Diploma in Clinical Supervision has been awarded Advanced Specialist Training status by the National Hypnotherapy Society. The complete programme is conducted over twelve months, with an initial module of five days after which students will be awarded a Certificate in Supervision, followed by two days of final assessment one year later for students who wish to undertake the full Diploma programme.
The course is conducted in a small group with a maximum of five students in order to ensure individual attention. The syllabus covers the practical aspects of clinical supervision, and is designed for accredited therapists who wish to extend their portfolio to include supervision, or to review their supervisory skills. Whilst our course has been approved by the National Hypnotherapy Society it is also open to therapists and counsellors from other modalities, and meets UKCP training standards.
Our principal tutor for this course is Craig Wood, a UKCP Registered Neurolinguistic Psychotherapist and Accredited Supervisor who, together with assistant tutor Joanna Taylor, will create a secure platform for students to explore multiple facets of supervision.
The course will include:
The Purpose of Supervision
Generic Maps and Models of Supervision
Developing and Maintaining the Supervisory Relationship
Issues of Transference and Countertransference
Considerations of Ethical Practice
The aim of this experiential programme is to provide a framework in which delegates will develop a robust confidence in both theory and application of the principles of supervision, including:
Reflection on Learning in Development Log
Log of Supervision
Attendance on the initial five day module will entitle students to receive a Certificate in Clinical Supervision. Successful completion of further certification criteria, and attendance at the final assessment module will entitle students to receive a Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
