Newly qualified as a hypnotherapist with counselling skills, I have been a secondary school teacher of science for the past 14 years. Having been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2018, I found that I had a new perspective on life once all my treatment was over - cancer taught me so many things; that you can face any challenge that is thrown at you with a smile and positivity, that inappropriate humour is always acceptable when your hair is falling out and you no longer have eyelashes and that with love and support, you can keep moving forward - I felt that I wanted to give something back. I decided to re-train as a hypnotherapist and counsellor (I am still currently studying to become a fully qualified counsellor) so that I could help others on their path, however many ups and downs, twists and turns there may be on their journey through life.
I have always been a great listener - where people feel calm in my presence and feel they can open up, I ensure that they feel heard and not just listened to. I have always been interested in people and how to get the best out of them - the main reason I became a teacher was because I wanted to help young people be the best that they can be, realise their potential and help them achieve that.
I believe that everyone wants to be the best person they can be, whatever their age, and I would like to help you see the benefits of hypnotherapy and how I can support you to take the first steps to making a positive change in your life.
