I became interested in mental health issues after writing a biography about my great grandfather who was a Titanic survivor and who suffered with what we now call PTSD. He was also and alcoholic and served a prison sentence for attempted murder. I have been fascinated in why people suffer when they do not get their emotional needs met. I want to help them. I believe people have incredible resources within themselves to get well. My job is to show them how to do it.
