*I am here to offer you a unique service personal to you, since you are an individual, and one size doesn't fit all. There are many reasons why I am able to offer you the support you are seeking. They include the fact that I am a passionate professional person, whom have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, over many years. Firstly, as a trained and experienced Registered nurse. I have worked both in the NHS and the private sector, caring for people from all walks of life, who present with a range of physical and psychological problems.
I went on to further training as an accredited Counsellor and Professional Hypnotherapist. Over the past ten years I have continued to develop my skills and currently works in private practice. During this period I have had the privilege of working with different individuals, seeking support with a wide range of problems. The techniques I use, varies, and also depends on your modality. However, my main aim is to ensure you understand fully, how we will work together. You will always be supported, since for some people, there maybe issues which triggers deep emotions.
I consider myself to be mature and experienced in understanding life's challenges. This has enabled me to also understand your story from your own perspective.
One of the key point in working with you, is that you feel relaxed and at ease, either when you are talking with me via the telephone, or when we meet face to face. Given my many years experience as a nurse I feel that I am approachable and that you will always be the center of the work we do together. You will always be treated with dignity and respect. My aim always to afford you the experience that you were hoping to have.
As a member of the Hypnotherapy Society I abide by their strict code of professional ethics, in practice which includes maintaining confidentiality.
During my practice, I also engage in clinical supervision, with my supervisor. This is not only a mandatory requirement from my governing body the NHS, but also for me to seek support as and when necessary. Its for me to talk through any challenges in a confidential manner. Since this is essential not only for my own health and wellbeing but also my skills in practice.
For me to be able to offer you the highest standard of support, I have maintained my practice through engaging in regular high quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training.
One of the requirements to practice as a professional hypnotherapist it to have in place professional liability insurance.
I am also registered with the Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) update service.
