I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, member of National Hypnotherapy Society and accredited member of BACP.
I studied philosophy with elements of psychology, During five years of psychotherapy training I received: Advanced Diploma in Counselling, Higher Diploma in Psychotherapy. I also hold Diploma in Hypnotherapy
I have worked with transgender clients at various stages of transition and helped set up a meeting centre for people with gender identity issues.
Since I started my training I have been working with male and female adult survivors of sexual abuse which so far has been the key area of my practice. Within that field I have experienced dealing with various forms of abuse and its effects, as well as issues ranging from self-harm, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression and trauma to anxiety, stress, panic attacks, phobias and bereavement and loss.
I am specifically interested in working with adult children of alcoholics and people who experienced narcissistic abuse.
I also work with men and women who through divorce etc. have lost or have limited contact with their children or grandchildren.
