I have an extensive history around mental health. As a child, I volunteered at care homes with my parents to help provide a bit of company for the lonely residents, many of whom had a diagnosis of Dementia or Alzheimer's. As a teenager, I completed a work placement at a school for children with complex learning difficulties which was really eye opening and helping me to realise that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people. I completed a degree in English Language and Linguistics followed by a Masters in Mental Health Nursing, I worked as a Nurse in a spectrum of settings but found that it simply wasn't for me because it was not providing me with the most optimal opportunity to help people so I shifted my focus. I gained a qualification in Counselling Skills which ignited my desire to help people in a slightly different way. This led me to Hypnotherapy which I came across almost by accident but I fell in love with it and have seen first hand just how powerfully it can change people's lives. I continued to develop my toolkit and have various qualifications which include; Life Coaching, NLP, EFT, EMDR, Reiki and many more, all of those techniques allow me to provide a unique service to my clients.
