Everyone is unique, and it is important that you the potential client feel able to connect with, and can trust the professional with whom you are looking to share your personal information and experiences with.

To help you decide if I am that person, here is some information relating to my work in practice.

I have been a Registered Hypnotherapist since 2013, and a qualified Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 2015.
I have experience of working with adults, children and young people, and in 2022, I was accepted on to the Children and Young People's Therapist Accredited Register (CYPT) with the NCPS.
I am also a qualified Clinical Supervisor for other Counsellors who are in training or practice.

I am trained in an integrated approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy; which means I am able to use a number of different approaches and techniques when working therapeutically with a client. For example Person Centred, CBT, Solution Focussed, Transactional Analysis alongside Hypnotherapy.

In my practice I only work face to face with individuals wanting to access Hypnotherapy, but for those wanting to access Counselling or Psychotherapy I can work with individuals, couples and groups, face -to- face, by telephone or Online via Teams.
My profile for Counselling is available to see on the NCPS Website.

I am able to provide a relaxing safe space in which to work with issues such as; stress and anxiety, low mood, low confidence, low self-esteem, sleep problems, overcoming fears and phobias, goal setting, as well as weight, habits and addictions.

Before qualifying as a professional Counsellor, I used counselling skills throughout the 15 years that I worked in both the Charity and Local Authority sectors, supporting children, young people and adults both emotionally and practically in my various roles.

I have completed numerous training courses and CPD modules to support the work that I do, as I believe in life you never stop learning.

My counselling approach, is tailored to the needs of the individual/s I am working with as I know from experience, one counselling style does not suit everyone.

I would describe myself as empathic, approachable, trustworthy, a good listener, and I genuinely care about my work and those that I work with.

I am based at home (about 6 miles from Harrogate) and have a counselling room in the garden that is both private, warm and welcoming. I am insured and have an enhanced DBS certificate and am registered with the ICO.

Please get in touch for further information, or to book an appointment or free initial telephone consultation.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, I look forward to hearing from you.
