After an illness at 18, I became more interested in natural healing. I had been brought up with natural therapies making this an automatic progression for me. Initial interests were Naturopathy and Healing. I trained as a Reflexologist, Homeopath, following on with, Coaching, Reiki, body-balancing techniques and Theta DNA. A long interest in Hypnosis I joined the Atkinson-Ball College of Hypnotherapy, which had a long-standing reputation. I qualified in 1993. Adding to this I was privileged to attend a course on Dream Therapy with Therapist, Edward Whitmont, a Jungian Psychotherapist who had connected to Carl Jung in his early career.
I have been involved with self-development and meditation for most of my life, which I see as a natural ongoing journey! In February 2022 I attended a three-month Mindfulness Meditation course. I plan to continue with this training over time, as I see this as beneficial for clients, offering useful techniques for them to use.
My interests are social anthropology, philosophical quantum physics and general human development, especially ongoing self-awareness which is at the forefront of improving my own and others’ lives. For me, love and care are at the centre of working with others and offering a space that is theirs to feel safe to heal within
I am also an Approved Supervisor and am able to support both students and qualified hypnotherapists within their training/practice.
